Rennes midfielder Enzo Le Fée injured his shoulder on Sunday during the draw (0-0) conceded to Montpellier during the 6th day of Ligue 1.
“Enzo was hit in the shoulder. We do not yet know the severity of his injury. But for Enzo, who had just returned, to come out, it is because he has very strong pain,” declared the coach of the Breton club, Bruno Genesio.
Le Fée (23 years old) was injured in the 81st minute following contact with Montpellier defensive midfielder Joris Chotard, who was booked.
The former Lorient midfielder, who arrived in the off-season at Rennes, was replaced by Baptiste Santamaria six minutes after coming into play.
The former Espoir international is expected to undergo examinations at the start of the week to determine the severity of his injury. Rennes, who will host Nantes next week, occupies 8th place in Ligue 1 after this new draw, the fifth in six days.
