Laval, after only one point taken in two matches, returned to the top of Ligue 2 by winning in Annecy (3-1) during a thirteenth day marked on Saturday by the defeat of Saint-Étienne against Paris FC (1-0) and the sinking of Bordeaux, beaten in Bastia (3-1) and now relegated.

Laval scored through Antonin Bobichon (8th), Jimmy Roye (56th) and a gag goal against his side from Kévin Mouanga (77th). Annecy (11th) opened the scoring from the penalty spot, by Samuel Ntamack (27th). The two teams finished at ten following the exclusion of Mouanga (Annecy, 84th) and Titouan Thomas (Laval, 86th).

The Mayenne club is three points ahead of Angers, which chases its winner of the last day Saint-Étienne from second place after its victory at home against Valenciennes (2-0). The scorers of the day were Farid El Melali (14th) and Jonathan Buatu Mananga against his side (29th).

Bordeaux, dominated 3-1 in Bastia (11th) who won with goals from Benjamin Santelli (9th, 68th) and Florian Bohnert (18th), falls into the red zone. Here are seven matches that the Girondins, who reduced the score by Jérémy Livolant (78th), have not won.

Troyes suddenly escapes from this relegation zone (16th) thanks to its 2-1 success at home against Caen (2-1). In addition to Paris FC and Laval, Ajaccio and Amiens also won on opposing soil. The Corsican club won superbly in Grenoble (3-0) in pouring rain. The Grenoblois remain fifth but the Corsicans climb from ninth to sixth place, one step behind their opponent of the day who records a fourth match in a row without a victory (2 draws, 2 defeats).

Amiens (8th) won 1-0 at Dunkirk (19th and penultimate) tied on points with Valenciennes which inherits the red lantern abandoned by Quevilly (18th), winner 3-1 of Rodez (7th). The match between Concarneau and Pau was postponed due to damage caused by storm Ciaran on the roof of the Francis-Le Blé stadium in Brest, where the Thoniers play part of their home matches.
