Spanish midfielder Sergi Darder signed on Friday with Mallorca from Espanyol Barcelona for five seasons.

“RCD Mallorca and RCD Espanyol have reached an agreement for the transfer of Sergi Darder. The 29-year-old Mallorcan has signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2028,” Mallorca said in a statement.

The Balearic club did not specify the amount of the transaction, but the transfer would be around eight million euros, according to the Spanish press.

The former Lyonnais was announced on the departure since the relegation of Espanyol in the second division at the end of May.

Last season, the new Mallorcan player made 38 appearances for the Catalan club and scored six goals.
