The Tops:
A complete match for the Japanese which started with a superb shot into the top corner allowing his team to quickly lead (16th). He created two other chances in the first period (42nd and 45th) while ideally serving his partners. He serves as support for Ben Yedder to kick the second goal. Precisely, he found the head of Kehrer (44th) and Balogun in depth (69th). It was once again his pass that allowed Ben Yedder to score the third goal despite Pelmard’s error. He ends his match with a new assist for Wissam Ben Yedder (87th).
A match which perfectly symbolizes the game of Wissam Ben Yedder. Impeccable in small spaces, he first failed alone in front of goal (19th) before shining on the second Monegasque goal after an exchange with Minamino, before serving Embolo perfectly. He places himself where he needs to on third and fourth base. His signature gesture, a little dive, even allowed him to score another goal, logically refused for offside (76th). Generous, he was able to serve Minamino and Balogun (74th) who must do better in their respective actions.
As is often the case, the Clermontois showed willpower but lacked quality. Two young players who came into play, however, offered technical skills. Fakili and Bouchenna each managed to create space in the Monegasque defense. Although none of the occasions went to the end, their impact remains a guarantee of positivity for the future, regardless of the division in which the CF63 will play.
The Flops:
Unfortunately, in two minutes, Caufriez went from hero to offender. His return to Embolo (12th) is saving. An action quickly forgotten by his missed header which returns to the feet of Minamino, alone at 18m who scores the first Monegasque goal (16th). Pelmard also missed in the 3rd by offering the ball with his arm to Ben Yedder. Often overwhelmed, they would have conceded many more goals if Balogun (74th), Akliouche (77th), or Embolo had had more precision.
He is probably one of the players who ran the most in the first hour but he narrowly missed in several serious situations. In the 22nd and 25th minutes, he had two scoring opportunities. His ball handling prevents him from finishing. His excessive commitment to a tackle in the 65th minute, synonymous with a warning which resulted in his exit to avoid greater punishment. Little worried defensively on his right wing.
