An accident, apparently caused by oil on the track, involved six motorcycles around 11:20 a.m. on Sunday on the Castellet circuit (Var) where the 86th Bol d’Or takes place, including the lead motorcycle, the lead Suzuki N .12.
The race was neutralized by the safety car. The Suzuki, which was then eight laps ahead of the Honda N.333, was able to return to the pits from where it was able to restart after the mechanics changed the damaged parts.
No driver appeared to have been injured in the accident which took place in the Signes curve, at the end of the Mistral straight, 1,800 meters long on the 5.673 kilometer route of the Paul Ricard circuit.
