The 2026 All-Star Game will take place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, the new venue of the Los Angeles Clippers starting next season, the NBA, the California franchise and the town hall announced on Tuesday.

The Intuit Dome, a newly built venue in Inglewood (southwest of the Los Angeles urban area), will host the matches of the LA Clippers from next season, who currently share the Crypto.com Arena with the Lakers in “Downtown”, the economic center of the City of Angels.

“We built the Intuit Dome to host the best basketball players in the world, and we are honored to have them under our roof for the All-Star Game,” Clippers owner Steve Ballmer said of the event planned for February 2026.

Los Angeles has already hosted the mid-season meeting six times, the last time in 2018. The 2024 All-Star Game is scheduled for February 18 in Indianapolis, and the 2025 edition will take place in San Francisco in home of the Golden State Warriors.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver praised a stadium at a press conference “which promises a unique basketball experience and will be an extraordinary venue for the All-Star Game in 2026.”

He later slipped to the media that the venue would also host basketball during the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, contrary to organizers’ initial plans.

A spokesperson for the Olympic organizing committee, contacted by AFP, did not confirm the decision but specified that LA-2028 was “exploring avenues for improving the map of sites”, citing discussions “ with Los Angeles authorities in the coming months.
