Ian Foster (All Blacks coach, after the 27-13 defeat against France): “It was a hell of an opening game. We expected a French team that was going to attack us with everything they had. Congratulations, they deserve their victory, they were the better team tonight. They managed to push us and force us to play under pressure. It’s a deserved victory, like I said. But that doesn’t change anything for the future, we are still enthusiastic and our goal is always to win the World Cup. We were effective but they were able to counter us, we will have to improve at certain levels, we have to be more intelligent, we gave them too many chances.
