Erling Haaland, the famous Manchester City footballer, falls asleep with his mouth taped, hoping to stay in top form. Before going to bed, the Norwegian footballer takes care to close his mouth with adhesive tape, after wearing blue light filtering glasses for three hours.
The 23-year-old opened up about his nighttime rituals while interviewing YouTuber Logan Paul for his ‘Impaulsive’ podcast. “I think sleep is the most important thing in the world. To sleep well, simple things like glasses that block (blue light), cut off all the waves in the bedroom, I think that’s really important,” Haaland said. “You should try to tape your mouth. I sleep with. Doing a lot of things is not good, but doing a little each day over a long period of time really pays off,” he says. Haaland assured that taping his mouth allows him to maximize breathing through the nostrils and that the “blue light”, emitted by screens, can disrupt the rhythm of sleep.
