Hard blow for Everton. The club was deducted 10 points in the English league standings for breaching financial rules, the Premier League, organizer of the competition, announced on Friday.
In March, the English league referred Everton to an independent commission for alleged violation of its profitability and viability rules. The club, 14th in the ranking before this decision and 19th if the decision is confirmed, announced its intention to appeal the sanction.
