Manchester United won their fourth victory in a row in the English league, winning 2-1 at promoted Luton on Sunday during the 25th day. The Red Devils, still sixth, are three points behind Tottenham (5th), beaten at home by Wolverhampton (1-2) on Saturday.

The Red Devils are now undefeated in seven matches (six wins, one draw against Tottenham) in all competitions. In the championship, they have four consecutive successes, with eleven goals scored in the process. Luton (17th) is struggling to avoid relegation and is only one point ahead of Everton, eighteenth and first to be relegated. Manchester United opened the scoring in the first minute, following a big mistake from Jamaican Amari’i Bell, author of a risky pass in the middle for Danish center forward Rasmus Hojlund, who scored after avoiding the exit from Belgian goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski (1st).

Erik ten Hag’s players worsened the score, again through Hojlund, who deflected with his chest an ill-adjusted shot from the Argentinian Alejandro Garnacho (7th). But Luton reduced the score seven minutes later by center forward Carlton Morris, with a header, after a blocked strike from Dutchman Tahith Chong (14th). Three goals in the first quarter of an hour, and then that was it!

Previously, Brighton (7th) went to punish another promoted, Sheffield United 5 to 0, including a double from Simon Adingra, very recent African champion with Ivory Coast (78th, 85th). Sheffield, twentieth and last, certainly played with ten men from the 13th minute and the exclusion of defender Mason Holgate. The 25th day ends on Monday with the Everton-Crystal Palace poster.
