Artur Jorge will be on everyone’s minds on Sunday at the Parc des Princes. Passed away on Thursday at the age of 78, the former PSG coach guided the Parisian club to the second French championship title in its history, in 1994. Former president, Michel Denisot confirmed, on X (ex-Twitter), his presence for the meeting which will pit Kylian Mbappé and company against Rennes, during the 23rd day of Ligue 1 (Sunday at 5:05 p.m.). “See you Sunday at 5 p.m. for the tribute to Artur Jorge at the Parc des Princes with all the supporters and leaders of PSG,” he said, specifying that he was “invited by the President of PSG,” Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. “And I thank him for that,” he adds, he who has been rare for many years in the aisles of the Porte de Saint-Cloud stadium. Other personalities will be invited to this occasion and a tribute is being prepared around this PSG-Rennes, as we are able to confirm.

Crowned European champion at the head of Porto in 1987, Artur Jorge led the Paris-SG Canal version with an iron fist from 1991 to 94, alongside his faithful deputy Denis Troch, before returning during the 1998-99 season.
