Kylian Mbappé spoke on Friday evening shortly before 8 p.m. to formalize in a video of approximately four minutes his departure from Paris SG at the end of the season. The Parisian striker, however, did not specify his future destination even if there is almost no doubt that it will be Real Madrid. Paris SG made no comment on this communication, the timing of which surprised the club, the day before its last match at the Parc des Princes.
Mbappé and his clan alone decided the timing of this announcement hidden from Parisian leaders. L’Equipe, however, specifies in today’s edition that Luis Campos, the sports director (who should continue his mission at the club) but also some members of the Ultra Paris Collective had been taken into the confidence. The 2018 world champion also had the opportunity to chat with some of these supporters during a barbecue organized at the Parc des Princes a few minutes after the publication of his video message. But President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi had not been warned by the player, proof of the frosty relations between the two men.
