Roland Garros: Dominic Thiem, great class, “I didn’t deserve this invitation”

The Austrian won his first round of qualifying at Roland Garros in three sets (3-6, 6-3, 6-2) against the Italian Franco Agamenone (108th). After the meeting, Thiem wanted to calm the situation after the controversy which arose due to the absence of an invitation for the former finalist of the Porte d’Auteuil tournament. The player who announced that he will retire at the end of the season is not looking for excuses and showed great class in his statement.

“Honestly, I had a lot of time to get a better ranking and I didn’t. I didn’t deserve this invitation. I have already participated in Roland Garros 10 times and it’s good. This is more than enough”
