This Sunday, February 11, La Dépêche revealed that the former Top 14 and Pro D2 player “is suspected of having committed violence against his partner”. Arrested at his home at the beginning of February, Dan Malafosse was placed in police custody, before being brought before a duty magistrate representing the Montauban prosecutor, and will be heard at the Montauban judicial court in May 2024. From today until his trial, he is prohibited from having contact with his partner.
Dan Malafosse adds his name to an already provided list of former or current rugby players involved in cases of domestic violence (Mohamed Haouas, Zakaria El-Fakir, Wilfrid Hounkpatin and George Tilsley).
