The former president of the French Rugby Federation Bernard Lapasset died Tuesday at the age of 75. Lapasset, also ex-president of the International Rugby Federation and honorary president of the organizing committee of the 2024 Summer Olympics, died on Tuesday evening. Major sports leader, boss of French and then world rugby, architect of the Paris 2024 Olympics, he had been suffering from a long illness for several years. His funeral will take place on Tuesday May 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Sède cathedral in Tarbes.
