37th – ENGLISH TEST: Jeauneau is again countered in his camp by Chessum. The English play in the French 22m and get a penalty. They decide to go into touch. 58th – FRENCH TEST: Lenni Nouchi pierces the opposing defense and serves Baptiste Jeauneau in support who advances before passing the ball to Marko Gazzotti who ends up behind the line. Full Gazzotti match rewarded with a try. The English are paying for their numerical inferiority.
65th – FRENCH TRY: Oscar Jégou takes revenge after seeing his try at the start of the game refused. Nouchi again leaves alone and negotiates the numerical advantage well to find Attissogbé tackled in the 22m. The ball is released for Jégou who alone goes to score. Hugo Reus transforms again.
75th – FRENCH TRY: The French scrum defeats that of the English and recovers the ball, Gazzotti goes into percussion and serves Hugo Reus on a plateau. The Rochelais realizes a “spin move” which will appeal to basketball players and also goes there for his test. He transforms himself.
76th – ENGLISH TRY: Cassius Cleaves takes the hole and ends up alone between the posts to plant the 4th English try to save the honor in the second half. These are the first points of the second period for Mark Mapletoft’s men.
