The start of the third and final stage of the Solitaire 2023 was given in the bay of Morlaix this Sunday at 2:43 p.m. after a general reminder. An established westerly wind of around fifteen knots was blowing in a sunny bay of Morlaix. Ahead of the bows of the 32 competitors still in the race, 470 miles remained to be sailed towards Piriac, in Loire-Atlantique.

During the second start procedure, Laurent Givry (Cap Horn) collided with the boat of Maël Garnier (J’M Garnier). Givry, his bowsprit broken and one of his foils damaged, declared that he was returning to the port of Bloscon, in Roscoff. He then had three hours to repair to remain in the race.

For the coastal appetizer course, Gaston Morvan (Région Bretagne-CMB Performance), Arthur Hubert (MonAtoutEnergie.fr) and Romain Le Gall (Centre excellence voile-Secours Populaire 17), having all three bitten the line, were caught by the patrol and had to cross the line.
