The letter A reveals that the France Télévisions group was ordered to pay 150,000 euros to journalist Jean-François Laville, dismissed in 2020 from the sports department, and who was accused of “sexist and/or discriminatory comments”.

An interview published in Clémentine Sarlat’s Team was at the origin of the affair. The France TV journalist denounced “male intimacy” and “permanent serious humor” in the sports department. An investigation had been opened by the group’s management, resulting in the dismissal of three journalists: Alain Vernon, Pierre-Etienne Léonard and Jean-François Laville.

In 2022, the industrial tribunal had already ruled in favor of Pierre-Etienne Leonard, forcing France Télévisions to pay him 45,000 euros in compensation and 100,000 euros in damages for “unfair” and “without real and serious cause” dismissal. . The case of Alain Vernon is examined this Wednesday in Paris.
