Charlotte Bonnet and Cyrielle Duhamel qualified for the semi-finals of the 200m medley on Sunday at the World Swimming Championships in Doha. Bonnet achieved the sixth time in the series with a time of 2 min 12 sec 32, while Cyrielle Duhamel finished with the fifteenth time in 2 min 15 sec 24. They will compete in the semi-finals this Sunday evening.

In the other races of the morning of this first day of competition, Anastasiia Kirpichnikova, however, did not manage to qualify for the final of the 400m freestyle. The Frenchwoman achieved the 15th best time in the series (4 min 13 sec 95), insufficient to reach the final. In very good shape at the end of 2023, she explained on Saturday before the start of the races that she had been unwell for several days, and hoped to be back for the 1500m, her favorite race.

There will be no 400m final either for Logan Fontaine, nor for David Aubry despite a personal best.
