Asked about the generational gap that separates him from the players, Leconte, 60, said the question was legitimate but that he “had to adapt” and that he was “ready to help” without “imposing” . “We met with Gilles (Moretton, the president of the FFT, Editor’s note), we talked about different things. He will then speak to the players. The idea is that we can all move together in the same direction and avoid an internal war,” he added. On Wednesday, Ugo Humbert (26th) expressed his wish to see Jo-Wilfried Tsonga become captain of the France team.
