This is the Frenchwoman’s worst ranking this year, she who started the season ranked 4th in the world. Marketa Vondrousova (6th, 2), Karolina Muchova (8th, 1), Barbora Krejcikova (10th, 3): the three Czech players all gained places in the WTA ranking published on Monday, still dominated by Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka. The latter is occupied on Monday by the Kazakh Elena Rybakina, who gains a place.
Still in the Top 10, Muchova and Vondrousova are progressing, although they also did not play a tournament last week. It was their compatriot Katerina Siniakova who stood out by winning her fifth title at the Nanchang Open 250 on Sunday against another Czech, Marie Bouzkova. She also gained 14 places (46th).
As for the two other French women present in the Top 100, if Varvara Gracheva remains in 45th place, Clara Burel jumped 13 places (61st), after her semi-final at the Monastir tournament. The 22-year-old player thus regains the best ranking of her career, already reached on July 31. The WTA ranking is still dominated by the Russian Aryna Sabalenka, ahead of the Polish Iga Swiatek and the American Coco Gauff.
