Oyonnax international pillar Rory Sutherland will join the Glasgow Warriors for the next two seasons, the Scottish franchise announced on Friday. Sutherland (30 years old, 29 caps and two with the British and Irish Lions) will only have spent one season with the Ain club, currently last in the Top 14.

“The last few years have been complicated because I had to leave Worcester, I had a few clubs but I didn’t have the regularity that I would have liked. This transfer to Glasgow, and this return to Scotland, offers me the opportunity to work on my rugby,” explained Sutherland, quoted in a press release.

In addition to Worcester and Oyonnax, Sutherland has worn the colors of the Scottish franchises of Edinburgh (2014-2021) and the Irish franchise of Ulster (2022-2023). Under the XV du Chardon jersey, the pillar played in five Six Nations Tournaments (2016, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) and the last edition of the World Cup (2023).
