OM coach Jean-Louis Gasset invited his team to “play their game” during the round of 16 second leg of the Europa League scheduled for Thursday against Villarreal, who will “have no room for error” after the Marseille won 4-0 in the first leg.

“The start will be decisive. But they have no room for error. For the trend to be reversed, they must have a perfect match and we must have a catastrophic match,” declared the OM coach.

“We are going to play our match, without going to get them as high as on the way out. But we will try to have the ball and take advantage of the spaces behind them,” he added.

“We had a great match in the first leg and Villarreal will try to have a great match in the return. We must expect a significant physical impact from the start of the match. We will have to respond to the duels and then play our football,” Gasset further explained.

“We know we’re ahead but it’s not over yet. We are going to play the return like the first leg, with a lot of commitment, determination and desire to win,” assured Marseille striker Ismaïla Sarr.
