Sweden’s Sarah Sjöström improved her own world record in the 50m freestyle in the semi-finals of the World Championships in Fukuoka (Japan) on Saturday.
With a time of 23 sec 61/100, the 29-year-old Swede is six hundredths better than her previous mark, even though she had just won a gold medal in the 50m butterfly a few minutes earlier.
