The American won the first WTA 1000 tournament of her career on Saturday by beating the Kazakh Elena Rybakina, world No.4, an unexpected success which allows her to regain a rank she had not known since January 2023. Her best ranking remains 7th mid-2022, the year she reached the final at the Australian Open.

While Miami experienced the early eliminations of the three world leaders, Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff, the good operation in the Top 10 is for the Greek Maria Sakkari, quarter-finalist in Florida and who gained two places (7th).

You have to go much lower to see a major development with former world number one, Victoria Azarenka. At 34, the Belarusian reached the semi-final in Miami and gained six places (26th).

In front of her, the French Caroline Garcia, world number 4 just a year ago, benefits in particular from her victory over Coco Gauff in Florida and is finally on the rise again (23rd, 4).
