Since Monday, January 1, Kylian Mbappé is free to commit wherever he wants from July 1. On this date, the star player of Paris Saint-Germain will no longer be under contract in the capital, unless extended by then. On RMC, ex-striker Christophe Dugarry shared his frustration with the Mbappé case.
“I have the impression that every six months, he stays, he leaves, he stays, he leaves,” said Dugarry on the show Rothen s’igné on Tuesday. It’s annoying me. I’m sick of it. I want Mbappé to embark on a club project and stop being in a personal project. Above all, Dugarry, world champion in 1998 and European champion in 2000 with the French team, finds that “Mbappé, today, he is stagnating”. “I hope he will leave,” adds the RMC consultant.

“I find that in his duels, his one-on-ones, he is more and more predictable, I find that he lacks a little strength of character, in the fight,” says Dugarry, who also regrets the body language “fairly negative” from Mbappé, 25 years old. “We even sometimes have the impression that the suit is a little too big” for the captain of the French team, and “we don’t feel a symbiosis” between him and PSG, believes Dugarry, who wishes to point out that “he’s a great player” and that he “wishes him the best.”
Mbappé has scored 21 goals in 22 matches with the Parisian club this season. Statistics which mask a slight inconsistency and a sometimes random performance in the game. The 2018 world champion is expected to resume with PSG this Wednesday, against Toulouse for the Champions Trophy (8:45 p.m.).
