the MOSCOW After over six hours negotiation, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan have reached an agreement that should stop the fighting in the area of Idlib tonight at midnight. The agreement also provides for two additional measures to loosen the tension: the creation of a corridor along 6 kilometres to the south and to the north of the M4 motorway (for a total of 12 miles) between Latakia and Aleppo – within six days, a technical committee will “define the details” – and from the 15th of march will start joint patrolling of the Russian-Turkish on a stretch of the same highway.
