Knowing that several starters would be absent for different reasons, D.J. was selected to start nose tackle. Davidson was also added to the list.

According to Michelle Gardner, the Arizona Republic, the senior DL sustained a concussion in the week of practice leading to the game vs. Wisconsin Badgers.

But Davidson isn’t the only player who won’t be playing for ASU.

This list also includes three additional defensive starters at No. 1, and No. Chase Lucas and Jack Jones were cornerbacks, while Darien Butler was linebacker.

The Sun Devils’ offense will be without running backs RachaadWhite and DeaMonte Chip Trayanum. Wide receiver Johnny Wilson and two starter offensive linemen in center DohnovanWest and right guard Henry Hattis are also missing.

White also opted out. Hattis and West are unable to participate due to thumb surgery, a knee injury and West respectively.

Both Trayanum, however, and Wilson both left the Arizona State football team earlier in this week.

After entering the transfer portal Nov. 29, the WR was transferred to Florida State on December 23rd, while the RB was transferred to Ohio State Saturday.

At 8:30 p.m., Arizona State will face Wisconsin in the Las Vegas Bowl.
