SÉNÉQUIER, AN INSTITUTION

The story begins in 1887, the year when Marie and Martin Sénéquier opened, place the Herbs, their first shop in which he fashioned their famous nougat soft. In 1930, under the leadership of their children, the pastry family expands to a café with a large terrace on the port. What we know today with its famous chairs red canvas that have seen so many stars : Brigitte Bardot during the shooting of the film And God created woman, Karl Lagerfeld, Kate Moss, Johnny Hallyday, Jacques Chirac, but also Matisse and Picasso. The café Sénéquier, now held by Thierry Bourdoncle, owner of many restaurants in Paris, did not receive less than 600,000 guests each year. To be sure of finding a table, and enjoy the tranquility of the port before the onlookers there, pouring out by the hundreds, get up early and go for breakfast. THE SUBE, The HISTORIC HOTEL DU PORT

Old relay of diligence, became the mansion of the marquis Alban Martin de Roquebrune, the hotel Sube throne, unperturbed, on the port of Saint-Tropez. It was nice to know it for years, come there and go back every summer, the beach of les Salins does not cease to enchant us. Its turquoise sea, first, its wild nature and its peacefulness also then that detonate a few kilometers away, the decibel level of Pampelonne. Frequented by regulars who like to gather on this corner of paradise still preserved, the eponymous restaurant serves mediterranean cuisine, simple but refined. Under the umbrellas of blue, which is scattered in front of a home white, you can enjoy the catch of the day in a relaxed and welcoming ambiance, few metres from the shore.
