TV “The pregnancy of my twins was terrible. I weighed 100 pounds and was given an emergency c-section because the heart rate of one of them stopped.” Never gave Beyoncé some honest insight into her private life than in ‘Homecoming’, the Netflix documentary about her performance at Coachella. At the same time, they launched also a new live album.
Exactly one year ago Queen B (37) the first female black headliner at the Us festival Coachella. Not only that was legendary, also the two hour show featuring 100 dancers, guest appearances from hubby Jay Z and the reunion of Destiny’s Child was a milestone in the history of the festival. In addition, did Beyoncé that is totally ‘in shape’, just ten months after the birth of her twins, Rumi, and Sir, of whom the pregnancy is a complete hell turned out to be. That we now know in ‘Homecoming’, the documentary that Beyoncé herself stuck. The almost two and a half hour movie gives the viewer a look behind the scenes of the legendary action and the process that preceded it.
“Normally I would the year before headliner have been at Coachella, but I was unexpectedly pregnant,” says the singer. “Of twins, another surprise!” But it was a very difficult pregnancy. “I had a lot of high blood pressure, so I am a pre-eclampsia increased. My body endured so much more than I thought I could. I weighed even a hundred kilograms on the day of the birth.” And there follows in the documentary is still an important disclosure: “In the belly stopped the heart of one of my two babies with beating, multiple times even. I had an emergency c-section to undergo.”
Bitterstreng diet
Beyoncé is generally quite careful with personal info. So, she confirmed the birth, ultimately, only a month after the birth. In the Netflix documentary, we get a very different Queen B: even intimate images of right after birth that shows them. Already there was the first few months not that much time for qualitytime with her new family. Beyoncé was, after all, gearing up for Coachella and those excess pounds – while they are still breastfeeding gave. What followed, was a bitterstreng diet: no bread, carbs, sugar, dairy products, meat, fish or alcohol. “I had constant hunger, had to have my baby’s feeding, my husband and other daughter to maintain and a show in each other stitches. I have been hard pushed, and I’ve got an important life lesson learned from this is: as far as I go never more.” Beyoncé admits that it’s even on the verge of unhealthy. “I had to dance, but my thoughts were with my babies. I couldn’t do it. There were days when I thought I was never still the old would be, so heavy I had it.” Whether those sacrifices, in retrospect, worth it for that one legendary show? There she remains scanty. Let’s say, because otherwise she had this personal story – Beyoncé knew – never with the world shared.
Blue Ivy sings along
Yesterday brought the Us also ‘Homecoming: The Live Album’, a collection of the 40 songs they did during Coachella last year brought. With the exception of “Before I Let Go’, a cover of Maze, there are no new songs on it. Particular is also ‘Lift Every Voice And Sing,” that they inzong with her oldest daughter, Blue Ivy (7).
