The belgian cyclist Victor Campenaerts had good time in both the lungs and legs, as he on Tuesday delivered a show of strength on the bike.

In Aguascalientes, Mexico at 1800 m altitude wrote the 27-year-old Campenaerts cykelhistorie, since he was the first ever passed the 55 mile in his attempt to put the new timerekord.

It succeeded, when Victor Campenaerts drove 55,089 kilometres and thus beating Bradley Wiggins’ record on the 54,526 miles, which the briton set in 2015.

Victor Campenaerts is the reigning european champion in the discipline, and he goes to daily for the professional team Lotto-Soudal.
