Spread to the neighbouring countries
Police used pepper spray and got into a scuffle with the protesters, when a group tried to break through a barricade around the EU institutions in the city.
Protests on Saturday started in a different place in the city and moved towards the part of the city where the EU institutions are located. The disrupted train and road traffic in the city on a great day for christmas shopping on its way.
Police in Brussels have mobilized hundreds of policemen, after the demonstrators from the ‘Yellow Jackets’ in the country have been involved in clashes with the police and set fire to two police cars in the last week.
In Rotterdam, went a few hundred Betvole protesters on Saturday through the city in the visible vests. Here was the demonstrations peaceful with singing and the distribution of flowers.
One of those who went with, was 67-year-old Leneke Lambermont.
– Our kids are working hard, but they need to pay tax in all sorts of places. You can’t pay for housing. It didn’t go well in the Netherlands, she says.
– The safety net of welfare, which was, as we grew, is gone.
– the Government will not sit on its entries for the people’s sake. They are there to protect their own interests.
Neither in Belgium or the Netherlands, there have been proposals for an increase in taxes on, among other things, fuel. It was the catalyst for the movement of The ‘Yellow Vests’ in France, where the movement originates.

More than 30 people have also been injured during the unrest, as 30,000 people have participated in the sounds from the british media.
And there is no prospect that the protesters go home Saturday evening. In fact, it promises that there will be even more pressure on the boilers.
– We have been in the knee, and they shot tear gas at us. Things will explode in the night, I can well tell you, says one of the protesters, 21-year-old Yanis Areg, according to Reuters.
