The French media giant Vivendi will leave the flagship index of the Paris Stock Exchange, the CAC 40, and will be replaced by the specialist in prepaid payment services Edenred, the stock market operator Euronext announced on Thursday.

This decision, taken by an independent scientific council which meets every quarter to re-evaluate the list of CAC 40 companies, will take effect on June 16 after market close. This is the first change on the index since September 2021 and the entry of Eurofins in place of Atos.
