Kortrijk It’s hard to Get Driven, that students efforts to businessmen in their own car to get to work. The City start-up tripled in a year, in size and now has all 350 riders and 1,000 customers. Get Driven launched an app, in which sector is unique in Europe. Next challenge: Wallonia and later Luxembourg, the UK, Germany, Portugal, and Scandinavia to conquer.

Get Driven, with headquarters in Vives Innovation Center in the Sabbelaan in Kortrijk, put students in to businessmen in their own car to get to work. Cost for the customer: € 20 per hour. Get Driven is becoming more and more popular. Businessmen to work (in traffic) on the back seat and to save time. Because Get Driven under the service sector, the tax is also interesting. Get Driven is not in the taxi industry, because the drivers rent and the car the customer is driving, while taxi services with private cars.

No discrimination

Now follows a new major step, with the launch of the specialist Bazookas and the app, Get Driven. The app automates finding and booking of drivers. The app works fast and easy. “You choose a starting address, destination, date, estimated time of departure, and the type of your car,” says manager Gunther Ghysels (26). “Drivers in your area to report themselves within ten minutes. You will receive immediately a push message and mail. The faces of our drivers are unrecognizable in the app. So that no driver chooses on the basis of ethnicity or appearance, we want to avoid discrimination. There is also a version for laptops, which is useful for the secretaries of the businessmen. After the ride, you’ll get an invoice with all the details and will also provide required feedback. The drivers are at least 21 years of age, all wear a costume, behave seriously and drive defensively and comfortable. They learn how to advance with luxury cars drive away, that businessmen are often moving (such as, for example, a BMW 7 or Audi A8, ed.).”
