Dua Lipa dominated this summer, all the festivals, now she dominates the eindejaarslijsten. Been a border shift so for Dua Lipa, and so does the British-Kosovo like. “The biggest difficulty was to two and a half years ago, completely for my music, even though I knew on my 6th already, that music is my life. But only on my 15th I am for my purpose gone. I wanted to create something new, something you haven’t heard on the radio and now look. Sam Jaspers of Ultratop explains the success further: “What singles, 2018, and anyway, the year of Dua Lipa. ‘One Kiss’ was 13 weeks at the top. So that is another record for the singer.” ‘One Kiss’ scored on Spotify by more than 652 million streams. And stop there for the milestones, because never before was there a song with a female voice for so long on 1 in the Ultratop 50. “Only ‘The Ketchup Song (Aserejé)’ did it in 2002 almost as good. That number stond12 weeks at the top,” says Jaspers. “And also her ‘One Kiss’-partner Calvin Harris broke a record, that of Amy Macdonald. She was standing with ‘This Is The Life’ in 2008 and 11 weeks on 1, until then the longest ever for a Scottish artist. But now it is Harris that is so.”
