the ROME – Migrations, acceptance, policy and practice of integration. Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 February, Rome is the place to engage on these issues. Will happen to the National Forum To Change the Order Of Things, by the title “Crisis of acceptance”, the two days of interventions and working groups – free and free – at Spin Time Labs of via Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, and, on the evening of Saturday,, at Esc Atelier. Among the instigators of the event, there is Andrea Segre, director of closed Sea and The order of things: “Despite the name – has explained the director – the Forum has nothing to do with my film. That was just the inspiration that gave birth to the need for coordination between the reality of the Italian territory, working daily in the reception and touching with hand the concrete consequences of migration policies on the people and on the workers”.

Exchanges and proposals for change. In the two-days of the roman part of the itinerary at the national level which it has touched and will touch other cities – the players direct of the welcome exchange of information and practices, and will be the word-for-proposals for change. “Not only speaks of the consequences of the decrees security – adds Segre – but also of the errors made upstream that have had a negative impact on the social fabric, and therefore on all of us, not only on the migrants. The Forum will be animated by workers, refugees, asylum seekers and the speakers are people from all over Italy that deal with various aspects of the reception: the legal protection, job placement, cultural mediation. The goal is to go beyond the sterile issue land-not land”.

The themes that will be addressed. The program includes measures on “Privatisation of the reception system” by Gianfranco Schiavone (Asgi), on “european Policies and systems of reception in comparison” to the care of Elly Schlein, “For a policy of freedom of movement, in addition to the distinction between migrants and refugees” by Enrica Rigo (University RomaTre), “Alternatives for mobility in the mediterranean” by Gabriele Del Grande (director and journalist) and “diffused Hospitality? You can’” by Antonio Calò (European Citizen, 2018). Take the word Marco Damilano (director de L’espresso), Laura Boldrini (deputy Pd), Riccardo Magi (deputy group mixed +Europe -the Democratic Centre) and there will be space for associations such as BeFree, I Was a Stranger and the Italian Society of Medicine of Migration, in addition to the participation of institutions and cultural figures, including Mohamed Ba (actor, writer, musician, and educator) and the theatre company Women Crossing with the play Sand and sea – stories of sand and sea.

The groups for areas macro-regional level. Giovanna Cavallo, coordinator of the National Forum to Change the Order of Things, explains that the Forum will be a platform for analysis and proposals “Will be created in the discussion groups divided by areas of macro-regional who will discuss the evolution of the consequences of the decrees. The first area is the border, where the civil society is responsible to protect the movement and to the reception where by land, migrants are not intercepted by the institutions. The second area is urban, where the objective is the protection of labour exploitation, in areas such as Rosarno, Foggia and Castel Volturno, and the protection of the right of residence. The third is the land league, the areas in which it implements a resistance civic for the contrast of hatred.”

“Exit from the discussion of the landings”. The objectives? “What is most urgent – underlines Andrea Segre – is exiting from the funnel of the discussion on landings. The evocative power of that arm of the sea distracts from all that there is before and after, we need to broaden the look”. The Forum is dedicated to Ani Laurent, the fifteen-year-old has found the death in the landing gear of a plane from Abidjan, in the Ivory Coast, and direct to Paris.
