The award-winning filmmaker William Goldman, has died.

He won during his career two academy awards.

William Goldman was an american novelist, screenwriter and playwright. He died on Friday at his home in Manhattan. It tells the Goldman family and friends for the Deadline. Goldman’s sister also confirmed for the Washington post, that the acclaimed filmmaker died of complications experienced after a period of illness in cancer and pneumonia.

Goldman’s career spans over decades if covered a number of great things. He won two academy awards, one for best original screenplay for ”Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid” and one for best screenplay based on another work for ”All the presidents men”.

He began his career on Broadway, where he got several of his plays produced, before he moved to Hollywood to write screenplays. During the 1980s, he wrote his memoirs based on the life on Broadway and in Hollywood.

the Film ”Pale death’s minute” was his return to the film world in the late 1980s, which is an adaptation of one of his novels.

His ability to write the script led to his being frequently called in as ”manusdoktor” in the project in one way or another are stalled.
