The Burundian authorities have announced that they have discovered in the province of Karusi, the remains of over 6 thousand people, crammed in six graves. The findings came about thanks to a national campaign launched in January by the Burundìs the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
on Friday, the president of the commission, Pierre Claver Ndayicariye , explained that they were recovered the remains of 6.032 victims. Clothes, glasses, and rosary beads recovered in the midst of thousands of projectiles were used to try to get the identification of the victims. The people should belong to the ethnic group Hutu.
