Cadena Cope confirmed its upward trend in recent times (3,324,000 listeners) in the latest wave of the General Media Study. However, Cadena Ser (3.958.000) still holds the first position. Onda Cero (2.101,000) is next and RNE (9977,000 followers).
Carlos Herrera, Spanish radio’s morning slot host, closed the gap with his rival and is now the leader with 2.74 Million daily listeners. This puts him about 124,000 away from his competition.
“Hoy por Hoy” with Angels Barcelo maintains the top spot with 2.86 million listeners. Carlos Alsina (Onda Ceo) is the surprise of the season. He has more than 1.5 million followers, which is his highest mark to date, and grew by 206,000 in spite of the drop in radio listening. ‘Las Mananas de RNE,’ with Inigo Alfonso lost followers, remaining at 783,000, while Federico Jimenez Losantos gained more listeners on esRadio, rising to 771,000.
Carles Francino is the leader with 910,000 listeners in the afternoon. However, Julia Otero (6228,000) takes second place with Onda Cero (229,00). The evening news sees ‘Hora 25 consolidate with Aimar Bretos (9733,000), but Angel Exposito confirms his excellent performance with ‘La Linterna (858,000).
Juanma Castano, (Cope), leads the nightly sports (767,000). Javier del Pino (“Let’s Live It’s Two Days”) wins Saturday (2,167,000) as well as Sunday (1,787,000). Los 40 is the top-ranked music station (2,783,000), followed closely by Cadena 100 (1.515,000) or Dial (1.461,000). “Tiempo de Juego” with Paco Gonzalez and Manolo Lama wins the weekend with an average 1,811,000 listeners.
