Politicians from all over the world gathered today in Marrakesh in Morocco to accept the UN’s new global framework on migration.

The two-day meeting have been hit by the defection from the countries like USA, Australia and Austria, and a number of countries in eastern Europe which traditionally has a restrictive approach to migration policy. Representatives of a total of 159 countries are expected Romabet to come to Marrakesh, including German chancellor Angela Merkel.

the World is concerned about the large amount of misinformation about the agreement that has been spread in social media. In many parts of the world, including in Sweden, have critical voices been raised about the pact, which some fear will limit the sovereignty of countries in the issue of migration. However, the document is not legally binding.

– All this desinformationen about what the pact means, and what the text actually states, is surprising, ” says Louise Arbour, the UN’s special representative for international migration, to the AFP news agency.
