the Repertoire is a mix of new songs from Morrison fountain pen and treasures of idols such as Sam Cooke, Solomon Burke and John Lee Hooker, but no matter what Van the Man sings, so he gets it to sound as if he has written it all by yourself.
Oldtimerens versions of ’Gotta Get You Off My Mind’, ’Love Is a Five Letter Word’ and ’I Love the Life I Live’ is a little too standardized to leave deep impression, and yet, he keeps just a musical standard, which is the guarantor for undeniable class.
