For the first time since may 2018, Carsten Werge this Sunday is experienced as the voice that accompanies your game of football.
Denmark’s leading fodboldkommentator has since last summer been seriously ill with inflammation of the pancreas, and it certainly has not been a pleasant experience.
– I was put in a coma because my lungs clapped together, I got blood clots and several other things. I was in a coma for a few weeks before they took me out again. I had a big infektionstal of over 600, I can see in my journal today. So I was wildly ill, says Andrew to BT.
the Disease hit Andrew in the morning after midsummer’s eve, where he woke up already five o’clock and had absolutely unspeakable pain in the stomach.
– I was afraid with the same and said to my wife that she should call for an ambulance. They came quickly, and they could see, it was bad. Away I can’t remember the next two and a half months. I can not remember anything, says Andrew.
– When my daughter became a student, got my wife to know that it could well end in a very ugly way. And as long as I was in intensive care, we were there when it was life-threatening, ” says Werge.

About september, he was even aware of his situation, but just lay in the hospital bed and nothing could not move my arms or go to the toilet.
There were also problems with the stomach, and he could no eat. Mind went on, if he mon survived the disease.
In all, it was somewhere between 14 and 16 operations, and in October he was discharged after four months at Hvidovre Hospital. And with a back that was 30 kilos lighter than at admission.
Since there has been complications, but Andrew has retrained and has again been able to go for long walks with the wife.
Doctors, however, have told, that fodboldkommentatoren must reckon with a year from discharge, before he was fairly himself again.

Yet is he not 100 percent raskmeldt, but he is as close as it can get, and therefore he makes a comeback tonight at 18: 00 on TV3+ with the match between Brøndby and Randers.
And at TV3 Sport, you have said that a single match a month is perfectly fine, but Andrew would like to do more than that, though he well knows that it is probably only after the summer holidays, he is completely in top form and is back as the country’s leading fodboldkommentator.
