During the Xbox Games Showcase today, Deck Nine revealed the latest installment in the Life Is Strange franchise. Titled Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, the game features one of the main characters from the original Life is Strange, Max Caulfield. It is set to be released on October 29 for Xbox and PC.

In the trailer shown today, we saw an older Max who still possesses strange powers. In this game, she discovers that she has the ability to experience two timelines simultaneously. The timelines are identical, but in one timeline, one of her best friends is murdered. In the other, her friend is alive. With her new powers, Max must solve the murder and prevent it in order to merge the timelines back together.

Max previously appeared in the original Life Is Strange (developed by Don’t Nod) and the prequel Before the Storm (developed by Deck Nine).
