Yesterday, the Roparun successfully raised a whopping 4.3 million euros for supporting cancer patients. A total of 210 teams completed a multi-day relay race from Paris and Enschede to the center of Rotterdam on Monday, May 20th. Participants either ran or cycled to collect money to improve the lives of people battling cancer. The teams were greeted by tens of thousands of spectators as they crossed the finish line on Coolsingel.
The grand total was revealed during a closing ceremony at De Kuip on Saturday night. This year’s fundraising amount exceeded last year’s total of 3.8 million euros.
