A Swedish police officer is dead after a patrol car crashed in Malmö in connection with a car chase Tuesday night.
This writes the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.
– It is with great sadness that I received the message that our colleague has died in the service, said police commissioner Carina Persson in a press release.
the Police confirm that the accident happened in connection with a car chase in the southern part of Malmö around at 20.27.
It is still unclear what got patruljevognen to overturn. Both officers in the patruljevognen was badly injured and was by ambulance taken to the hospital.
The one cop, a 45-year-old man, died later at the death at the hospital. The other officer is expected to survive his injuries.
