– 90 percent of all traffic accidents are due to human error. The new mandatory safety systems, we are proposing today, will reduce the number of accidents and pave the way for a future where cars will be connected and driverless, says EU commissioner Elzbieta Bienkowska in a press release.

A further four mandatory safety systems will, according to Auto Express follow ‘a few years later’.
