Science & Planet of The Mexican government, the residents asked to be vigilant for the eruption of the volcano Popocatépetl. The volcano is already active with frequent explosions, but spews out since Tuesday, steam, gas and burning debris that scattered in the environment, for the fires are provided.
The National Noodpreventiedienst warned residents to stay away from the Popocatépetl after 24 hours time 200 bursts were observed. The alert level was raised from two to three on a scale of seven.
The Popocatépetl erupted Tuesday with a 3 km high cloud of smoke. Burning lava was two kilometres away, spewed, different uninhabited areas went up in flames. Some of the surrounding municipalities were blanketed with a layer of ash.
In 2000, they had a eruption all 50,000 residents to be evacuated.
