With riots in the margins of a demonstration against police brutality in the centre of Lisbon Monday, several police officers slightly wounded hit. Four persons have been arrested, say the police.
“Several policemen were slightly wounded when stones were thrown during clashes with protesters,” says police chief Tiago Garcia. The demonstration came after a muscular intervention of the police on Sunday in Seixal, a municipality in the southern outskirts of Lisbon. They had to be in a sensitive area to put an end to a slugfest.

The demonstration numbered about two hundred participants. They complained to the ministry of Home Affairs, racism and police brutality.
