Emilio Ortiz Lopez, the territorial delegate for Employment, Training, Self-Employment, Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities, presented yesterday in a webinar that was co-organized with the Business Confederation of the Province of Almeria, Asempal, about various lines of assistance from the Junta de Andalucia. These aid lines are aimed at workers, self-employed workers, cooperatives and companies currently having an open call or who have just closed their application period.
Ortiz provided details about the incentives to increase job security for micro-enterprises or SMEs. These include investments in prevention, activities to improve integration of prevention within the company, R&D projects on this field, and good practices. They can apply for grants up to 15,000 euros, and the amounts are available from 1,200 to 15,000 euro. This line has a budget of 328,300 Euros in the province.
The territorial delegate also discussed two lines in the Andalusian Transformation, Recovery and Resilience Plan. The first is a 4,500 euro lump sum that covers the salary costs incurred by projects that create companies (including social economy companies), to transition to the digital or green economy. It lasts for 6 months. Almeria has a budget of 1,129,000 euros. Applications can be submitted up to July 12.
The second line is 4,500 euros in aid. It promotes self-employment and encourages entrepreneurs to take action. This will help create a green or digital economy. These aids are also available to cooperatives with the same purpose.
These requirements include the presentation of a project to transition towards the digital or green economy within 6 months. The self-employed must also be registered in the RETA by June 16, 2022, when the application period started. This date must also appear in the Registry of Cooperatives of Andalusia for those who wish to apply for the incentive.
The budget for Andalusia amounts to 33.3 million Euros. Submission deadline is July 13.
Regional representative explained that a line is available for assistance to promote stable employment. Incentives of between 3,500 to 6,600 euros depending on the group are offered for every indefinite or permanent contract performed by self-employed workers, businesses, and entities.
Unemployed persons must register as job seekers and not be employed in the SAE at the time of hiring. The contracts must reflect a net increase in permanent workforce. Indefinite contracts require that the person be in continuous employment for 12 consecutive months.
The webinar covered lines 4, 5, and 9 of the Ministry of Employment support program for reconciling work, family, and personal lives. These two lines are only for self-employed employees and encourage substitution contracts for self employed workers with children younger than 3 years to facilitate their care. For birth, adoption, custody with the intention of adoption or foster, multiple births, or risk during pregnancy. The contract amounts vary depending on the line and which group the person is hired from. These grants have a provincial budget totaling 64,166 euros and are due by September 30.
Line 9 of conciliation is for companies with at most 10 employees. It supports information, dissemination, awareness activities (maximum amounts of 2,000 euro) as well as recreational, cultural, and sports activities (grants of up to 6 000 euros). They are open to conciliation of employees who have children younger than 12 years. They are due by July 15th.
Employment in the social sector and assistance for the self-employed
Emilio Ortiz also revealed the aid to job creation in social-economy companies. This includes subsidies between 3,000 and 10,000 Euros for cooperatives or labor companies to include unemployed people as workers or partners. . Both measures will be subsidised if the contracts have been signed between October 1, 2021, and August 31, 2019, when the deadline for applying for aid is, and have an assigned provincial credit amount of 228,360 euro.
The webinar also explained the assistance that extends the flat rate of the state for self-employed workers. They have a budget in Andalusia of 13.5million. It also explained the aid for stabilizing the self-employed entrepreneurial initiative with a provincial endowment at 3,210,000 euros. Both cases close on September 30th.
