Equality in this country? Nix, no way yet. And there is a long way to go.

Such was the message Thursday afternoon during a discussion, as Extra Leaf held under the title the Lie of Equality.

– of course, We have had a female prime minister, but the current ruling party, the Left has never had a female president, and in the central, powerful committee in the Danish parliament are sitting there right now only a single woman, it sounded from Extra the Magazine’s editor-in-chief Karen Bridge, who hosted the meeting.

The old printing house under the JP/Politiken Hus in the middle of Copenhagen was filled well up. Especially with debatlystne and ligestillingsinteresserede women, but among the attendees are women also – perhaps even surprising – many men.

the Men had, however, left debatlysten at home, and pretty much every single time the audience had the opportunity to ask questions to the afternoon’s speakers, it was a woman who took the microphone.

the Afternoon’s keynote speaker – Ritt Bjerregaard, former minister and mayor – was greeted by massive applause, even before she had said the first words.

She is on for any picture of a strong woman who has taken power to itself and deny some of the country’s finest offices.

The look she would like more to do – and like with the help of gender quotas.

– Let now be so afraid of the quotas, women. With them have the opportunity to show what In major, she said from the stage.

Quotas in the country’s company managements will, however, not a reality, so long as Eva Kjer Hansen (V) sitting on the post of minister for equal opportunities.

It struck the minister, who also participated in the debate, so tightly, that it was not to be mistaken.

I’m vertically against the quotas for managers, she said. And so was the one just closed.

the Earmarked maternity leave to men – as more of the debattørerne beat the drum for – is she not the big supporter of.

Families must be allowed to align themselves as they will. The question is just whether the women are good enough to give their maternity leave, said the minister, referring to a study, where 40 per cent of Danish fathers told, that they would like to have had more maternity leave.

Bjarne Corydon, the editor in chief of the stock Exchange and former finance minister, was on the scene. He is, he told big supporter of more women in the industry top jobs.

– It is about the massive waste of talent, if women do not fill the seats at the highest level, he said, and continued:

Socially, it’s crazy to low value-destruction of this caliber.

So far could all be in agreement.

the Way there was immediately something more difficult to agree on.

Ekstra Bladet-chief: Page 9 is also the equality

Added the Magazine’s editor-in-chief Karen Bridge was host for the afternoon’s debate about gender equality. She would like to see more equality between the sexes, but must at the same time admit, that the newspaper, where she is the boss, even not in goals.

– We could well in the future wish for a better distribution of men and women, so we are about to look at among other things, recruitment processes, she says.

– In the media industry are women, according to the Journalistforbundet a bit behind in salary compared to men. The female journalists on the Extra Magazine look forward to a lønløft in the near future?

– How to a concrete promise, unfortunately I can not give, but in general, I hope that women – also Extra Magazine – draws attention to it, if they can see, they are lagging behind when it comes to wages.

– How are in harmony page 9-girls and massageannoncer with equality?

– Page 9-the girls I’ve met many of the. It is women who are proud of their bodies and proud to show it, because they want to. So it is in keeping to the very good.

– On the massageannoncerne I know that there’s professional people in a different place in the house, which ensures that there is no illegality behind, and working together with the police, if there is suspicion of f.ex. trafficking.

the Association of Father: much needed as in the horse-drawn carriage

Ligestillingskampen has traditionally been about women and how they, for example, are paid less than men, but the approach to get people to lose interest and even fall asleep. Instead, equality is being equal, saith the Association Father, who works for the equality of fathers – and all others.

– gender Equality must be about women, men, boys and girls. It doesn’t do it today. Gender equality in Denmark today is about the equality of women for women by women, says the national chairman Jesper Lohse.

– It creates an incorrect balance, and it also harms women’s equality, for there is no want to hear about it, when it is so crooked. If we truly want equal opportunities in our society, then we need to talk about what the most important things is for men, for women, for boys and for girls. Equality is about all of us together.

Jesper Lohse affirms, that he has the utmost respect for the women’s struggle, but that the women’s liberation movements time now is over. Today the debate should be about creating an equal society for all. For as difficult as it can be for a woman to squeeze into a corporate boardroom, just as difficult it can be for a child’s father to be assimilated with the child’s mother.

for Example, receive the mother automatically mail on the child, and the mother has the opportunity to take significantly more maternity leave than the father.

– The family law we have today, dates from the beginning of the 19 century. And it fits just not the society we live in today. When women are entering the labour market, and fathers need to be more on the track in the home, so have children, more than ever, two parents, and that we are faced with a family law, which is still running in the horse-drawn carriage, says Jesper Lohse.
